Chris Baghos
Chris is an Adjunct Lecturer in Theology at St Mark’s National Theological Centre and holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sydney. He has extensive experience with both ancient and modern languages, including Classical Latin, Italian, Classical Greek, Koine/Biblical Greek, Modern Greek, and Old Irish.
Chris’ research interests include patristics, ecclesiastical history, and hagiographies from Late Antiquity to the Middle Ages. He has multiple publications in these fields, including his recent book Wondrous in His Saints: Essays to Inspire on the Orthodox Patristic Tradition.
Chris is passionate about teaching and invites learners to move beyond the limits of their world through immersion in Classical Latin – the most influential language in the history of Western civilisation and a gateway to our extraordinary past.
