Learn to develop your swimming strokes with our adult swimming lessons in Sydney!
Tired of being a slow swimmer? You can improve your swimming technique with professional guidance, practice and consistency.
Our swimming coaches will analyse your technique, develop drills and sets which focus on correcting your stroke. In these Swimming Stroke Development lessons, you'll learn how to improve your swimming technique to gain greater efficiency and increased swimming performance. You'll learn to swim better, increase your fitness and endurance as a result.
Please note: to enrol in this class, you must be able to swim a minimum of 250 metres freestyle, and be comfortable in deep water. If you are new to swimming, you may prefer our Learn to Swim classes.

- Backstroke technique drills with and without board
Intended audience
Who is this swimming course for?
This course is for swimmers who can swim 50+m of freestyle or want to perfect their swimming stroke, or students who have finished the Swimming Lessons: Learn to Swim.
Course materials
What to bring to class
- Swimsuit, swim cap, goggles, towel and sunscreen (if your class is during the day).
- A copy of your enrolment confirmation.
Additional information
Please note the following:
- Participants must be 18 years or over.
- The course fee does not include the cost of the pool entry
- All sport/recreation classes are active, and therefore you must bring to the attention of the tutor any physical or health-related impairment that may affect your safety.
- For all short courses involving physical activity, you must arrive before the published course commencement time, or the tutor may refuse to admit you into the session. The schedule for many short courses involving physical activity starts with an OH&S briefing and a warm-up; to miss either may create a hazard to you, which might exclude you from participation in the session.
