What will be covered in this Kitchen Refurbishment workshop?
- Safety and workshop housekeeping
- Work area preparation
- Introduction to and examination of common materials found in the kitchen (natural, manufactured and hazardous)
- Basic toolbox contents and their uses
- Introduction to drills and drivers
- Practice using toolbox items
- Replacing hinges, handles and drawer rails
- Fixing minor leaks: changing a washer and properly sealing pipe connections
- Clean-up and disposal of kitchen materials
- Benchtop and cabinetry materials and surface repair options (with focus on melamine or laminate finishes)
