Irena Megaloconomos

Irena has years of experience teaching photography at high schools, TAFE, the Australian Centre for Photography, Macquarie University and Sydney Community College. She also works as a freelance photographer, with interests in portraiture and documenting artworks for many artists and galleries. She graduated from UNSW with a Master of Art (Photography).

An award-winning photographer, Irena has been selected for the 'Project Wall' at the Australian Centre for Photography, worked in Sydney Fringe Festival and exhibited her work at local and interstate galleries, as well as in private collections.

Irena's own creative practice involves studio work and observations of everyday life. With training in both the technical and fine art side of photography, Irena's teaching style combines these two elements. Her classes are relaxed, fun and interactive.
