David Mitsak

David Mitsak is the founder of MudFun Australia, a programme he has shared with councils, schools and community groups mostly in Australia but also the USA and Mexico.  

This program is heavily influenced by ancient traditional cultural shelter creation experiences he was a part in the Solomon Islands and Native American Taos Pueblo USA and by several other communities from each continent that he has studied and heard stories about. 

David hand sculpted a liveable backyard earthen mud sleeping pod cubby building on family land and he is passionate about teaching others how they can achieve the same sense of power and freedom that such a project can bring. He is a founding member of SOL Illawarra cultural independent arts which runs a community garden and supports and fosters local performing arts.
