Revolve ReCYCLING
Revolve ReCYCLING is an innovative Inner West organisation creating a sustainable alternative to new bikes and making strides towards a circular economy. They aim to recycle Australia’s bikes and e-bikes, giving new life to old rides and getting them back on the road – instead of into landfill. It’s sustainability on wheels!
The Revolve Recycling team is made up of passionate lifelong sustainability advocates, including a previous CEO of the Australian Council of Recyclers, and a Greenpeace department manager. Their members include certified mechanics who recycle parts from used bikes to build roadworthy, affordable new bikes – saving tonnes of valuable materials from landfill and minimising greenhouse emissions in the process.
The team contribute to their wider community by offering training and employment opportunities to disadvantaged and migrant communities. This community spirit spills over into their classes, held at their workshop, where you will experience their expertise and passion first-hand. Whether you want to build your dream bike, make your bike safer or simply gain a deeper understanding of how bikes work, you’ll be in the perfect place to learn more.
