Emma Barnes

Emma is a gentle and patient coach to bridge beginners. She first taught bridge 25 years ago as a university student and fell in love with it. She has authored two books for beginners and trains bridge teachers and bridge players around the country. Emma's approach equips new players with the tools they need to enjoy the world's most labyrinthine card game. There's much one can learn about bridge and Emma has fine-tuned this course over 25 years to avoid overwhelm. She began her bridge career as a player, competing nationally and internationally. With time her interests settled on teaching, and now she does that around Australia and online.
