Yulia Brazauskayte

Yulia is a product (object) designer, interaction design researcher and academic. She worked as a product and urban furniture designer before starting an academic career in 2018. Yulia has just completed her PhD program and is currently working as a design lecturer/tutor in UNSW (School of Art & Design) and UTS College. 

Yulia has always been passionate about making. In recent years, after committing to a sustainable lifestyle and reducing waste, Yulia’s making practices shifted towards designing with repurposed materials and furniture repair. Yulia is upcycling and restoring furniture as a hobby and a form of environmental commitment. Yulia joined the Bower as a workshop facilitator to promote inclusivity, the joy of repair/ redesign/ repurposing and upcycling.
