Jenny Ward is a professional journalist, public affairs practitioner, government media adviser, speechwriter and media trainer with over 30 years experience.
She has broad written and oral communication expertise, having written for commercial radio news, worked on television current affairs, written for newspaper covering the aviation industry domestically and internationally, and worked for not for profit organisations.
Jenny has extensive hands on experience researching and dealing with contentious issues and tight deadlines and translating complex technical language into palatable Plain English.
She taught journalism, been sent on overseas assignments for magazines and newspapers and worked as location scout on numerous documentaries for overseas television companies.
Jenny has media trained thousands of people, from Government ministers, CEOs, spokespeople for many controversial portfolios. She trained the CEO and his replacement for the recent handover of the Wayside Chapel in Sydney. Media trained staff at a prominent road safety organisation, who often had to deal with confronting stories and images of young teenage car crash victims and their families.
Jenny has undertaken copywriting for promotional material, written specialised features on travel, art, education and lifestyle along with personalised feature interviews and general news.
Her career has included working as media and communication coordinator for not for profit youth road safety, State Government public affairs officer and media adviser, as well as in commercial radio and television news, senior aviation and travel editor.
