Garry Traynor

About Garry Traynor, OAM

Garry is a practicing adult educator with over three decades of experience. He is foundation Principal of Sydney Community College, having joined the College in 1986. Garry holds degrees in Visual Arts, Education including a Masters Degree in Adult Education. He is a past president of Adult Learning Australia and has represented that organisation at international forums. He has lobbied state and federal governments on the value and benefits of broad based, non award adult and continuing education. He was awarded an OAM in 2018 for his commitment Adult and Community Education. 

Garry has a strong interest in ethical marketing and communication. He is also an active road sport cyclist, and enjoys sharing its many joys and challenges.
