The Ledge Climbing Centre
Laelia Douglas-Brown
Laelia has been developing her climbing skills indoors, outdoors, on the competition scene, & overseas for a little over 20 years. Growing up in the climbing world has prompted her towards a focus on intention & attention with movement & strength. Laelia promotes climbing as an active meditation: the better you get, the more you feel like you have lots to learn! Her short courses focus on foundations of movement and strength; giving you the tools to feel comfortable in getting started, building power, breaking down movements & understanding how to approach problem-solving when things are particularly challenging.
Laelia has worked with kids & adults, in coaching, mentoring and teaching beginners through to emerging climbers for about 15 years.

Over these years Phil has fine-tuned programs for both beginner and progressing climbers that provides both practical experiences of how effective climbing technique feels along with a theoretical understanding of why various techniques work as well as they do.
Let Phil’s enthusiasm for all things climbing guide you through your initial learning curve or over your current plateau in progression.
