After the workshop, you might be inspired to add legs later on, turning your board into a stylish side table and giving it a new purpose in your home. By the end of this resin river pour workshop, you should have:

  • Acquired the skills to conceptualise, design, and craft a stunning resin river charcuterie board, incorporating mesmerising resin river techniques.
  • Gained knowledge about the properties of the resin, its appropriate applications for crafting river boards, and the techniques involved in achieving desired effects.
  • Learned how to mix colours, create realistic river effects, and design unique resin river patterns to enhance the aesthetic appeal of your charcuterie board.
  • A basic understanding of how to work with resin safely.

Course content

What will be covered in this resin river board workshop?

  • Important safety precautions for working with resin to ensure a safe workshop
  • Hands-on practice mixing pigments and dyes to create custom colours for your resin river board
  • Techniques for pouring resin to create rivers, including layering and blending to mimic natural water flow
  • Hands-on experience sanding and finishing your boards for a nice finish
  • Step-by-step guidance and expert tips from an experienced tutor.

This course is for complete beginners - no previous experience is required.

However, this course is not suitable for pregnant people or anyone under 16 years old.

Course materials

Materials provided

We provide all materials, including:

  • Slow setting resin
  • Pigments and moulds
  • Large timber pieces  
  • 60cmx30cm moulds
  • P2 Respirator mask
  • Gloves

What to bring to class

  • You may prefer to bring your vapour mask, available from hardware stores. If you feel concerned about the exposure to the resin vapour, please discuss it with your GP before attending the workshop.
  • An apron to protect your clothes
  • Your ideas and creativity

Additional information

Please note the following:

  • The resin needs a full week to dry, therefore please collect your board 1 week after the workshop has concluded. 
  • Closed shoes required
  • Please wear old clothes as you will be sanding your boards
  • Long hair must be tied back
  • Not suitable for pregnant women
