This relaxing workshop is designed to spark your creativity and provide a mindful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Not only will you learn a range of basic candle-making techniques with an experienced candle maker - you'll also create beautiful treats for yourself or thoughtful gifts for a loved one.
You'll go home with a stack of hand-poured candles and two container candles - one soy melt and one beeswax (note: the beeswax candle can be replaced by another soy wax candle for a vegan option).
If you love candles and enjoy using them for ambience and fragrance in your home, then this hands-on workshop is for you. Ignite your creativity, and let the soothing flicker of your handcrafted candles bring warmth and tranquillity into your life.

- Use tools and equipment to create candles.

This class is designed for beginners. No prior experience is required.
Course venue
2A Gordon Street, Rozelle NSW 2039 (corner of Gordon St & Victoria Rd on the grounds of St. Joseph's Church)
Course materials
All the necessary materials are provided, including:
- Glass candle jars
- Candle mould
- Cotton wicks
- Stickers for the wicks
- Wick holders
- Stirring stick
- Mixing cup
- Measuring cup
- Beeswax sheet
- Handouts to take home
- Different fragrance oils, and colours to choose from to create your own beautiful candles.
What to bring to class
- Pen and notepad
- A bag to carry your creations
- An apron (if possible) to protect your clothes
- Prepare to get your hands a little dirty, and make sure you wear clothes and footwear that you don’t mind getting wax on.

Please note the following:
Accessibility: Please note there is no level access to the room for this class. Access is via approx. 20 steps.
Please note: For a vegan option, the beeswax candle can be replaced with another soy candle.
